Services

The primary scope of the services that we offer to our customers is the electrical engineering, design, fabrication, and implementation of machine control systems and automation. The specific process to be controlled can be any industrial process, such as heating systems, refrigeration systems, water pump systems, extrusion systems, material handling systems, etc. We have extensive experience for all of these industrial applications.

Functional specifications

As part of the project definition phase for any project, we will provide a written functional specification for the process to be controlled, and the electrical equipment to be designed and provided. We work closely with your team of experts to understand the technical details of the project, and to document the equipment and services that we will provide.

Electrical design

Once the functional specifications for the project have been defined and agreed upon, we perform the electrical design for the machine control system. This generally involves creating the electrical design architecture, power distribution, and selecting the main components of the electrical system. We work closely with the customer during this process to ensure compliance with all of the requirements for the project.

BOM creation

We create the Bill Of Material (BOM) for the machine control system, which is the list of parts needed for the project. This consists of a list of all the parts needed to build the control system, and is typically the electrical enclosure, main disconnect circuit breaker, secondary circuit breakers, motor starters, contactors, motor controllers, PLCs, HMIs, cooling fans, etc.

Schematic creation

We create the schematic drawings for the electrical control system, including the wiring connections to the field devices (as required). The schematic drawings allow for the assembly of control panel, field device wiring connections, commissioning of the system, and longer term maintenance of the system.

Panel layout

We create the panel layout drawings, which shows the components mounted on the subpanel, and shows the components on the outside of the enclosure (such as the HMI screen, switches, visible alarm indicators, breaker handle, etc.).
